learn more about brainx:

How many serves can I have per day?

A maximum of 2 sachets per day is advised. This is also best spaced out between a 6 hour period. One sachet is generally enough, since higher doses may disturb sleep and cause restlessness.

Are there any side effects?

All of the natural ingredients found in BrainX are dosed appropriately, and do not lead to any side effects. However, for some sensitive individuals, they may find that one sachet is too energising and makes them feel overstimulated/over-energised. Other common side effects are euphoria and increased confidence.

Where is it made/manufactured?

BrainX is manufactured in Brisbane, Australia. The herbs are sourced from Brazil.

When will I feel the effects?

Most people notice an increase in mental clarity and mood the first time that they use it. Effects usually peak at the 2 hour mark, and extend on for the rest of the day. However, for BEST effects, BrainX should be used for at least 7 days straight, since that’s when the adaptogenic nature of the herbs start to really shine.

Can I use BrainX with antidepressant medications?

No. This product is NOT safe to combine with antidepressant medication, and may run the risk of developing serotonin syndrome. Please consult your healthcare professional before trying this product.

Does BrainX increase libido?

Since BrainX does tend to optimise the dopamine system, this can lead to an increase in libido for some people. In addition, both the Muira Puama and the Catuaba bark have historically been used to increase libido in both men and women. It’s important to always consider that a high libido can be a sign of a healthy mind and body.

Is there an age limit?

BrainX is best used for those aged 18 years and over.

What works well alongside BrainX?

It is highly recommended for the user to combine this product with sufficient B-Vitamins, such as a comprehensive B-Complex. This is because it will strengthen and support the effects of the overall formula.

What does NOT work well alongside BrainX?

It is not recommended for people to use high dose choline supplements such as (Choline bitartrate, CDP-Choline, Alpha GPC or TMG), since this can lead to excess acetylcholine and will dampen the effects, and possibly lead to symptoms of too much acetylcholine.

Why is it a proprietary blend?

It’s almost the same as asking a magician for the secret. BrainX was formulated in a very careful manner that allowed for the perfect ratio of each ingredient to synergise with another. This prevents other companies from stealing the winning ratios.

What makes BrainX so unique?

BrainX is formulated using advanced scientific research and historical medicine. The herbs found in BrainX are relatively under-utilised in the nootropic marketplace, and are perfectly blended with the modern nootropic uridine monophosphate. The synergy between all these ingredients is what makes the product so appealing and enjoyable to use.

Catuaba research

Key Benefits:

1. Increases mood, motivation and alertness via increasing the activity and release of dopamine in the brain (R).
2. Catuaba can act as an adaptogen, helping the body deal with stress and fight fatigue (R).
3. Supports memory, focus and concentration via acting on the acetylcholine system of the brain - it inhibits the enzyme (acetylcholinesterase) that breaks down acetylcholine (R).
4. May enhance memory via acting on the hippocampus, which is a key area of the brain responsible for memory (R).
5. Increases neurotransmitters due to its ability to (concentration-dependently) reduce the activity of Monoamine Oxidase A (MAO-A) (R).
6. Synergizes very well with Muira Puama, according to ancient use.
7. Has anti-inflammatory properties, think similar to Curcumin (R).
8. Improves fatigue after running on the treadmill and improve grip strength after exercise in mice (R).
9. Catuaba has aphrodisiac-inducing properties. For example, in rabbit models, catuaba has been reported to improve libido (R).
10. Although it increases dopamine, catuaba is reported to NOT have an amphetamine-like effect (R).
11. Pre-clinical studies with catuaba extracts have identified many pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, antinociceptive, pro-memory and neuroprotective (R).
12. In Brazilian folk medicine, catuaba is known for its neuroactive potential as memory stimulant (R).
13. By activating dopaminergic and opioid pathways, catuaba may reduce the sensation of pain (R).

Muira puama research

Key Benefits:

1. Regarded as a mild brain-tonic, that improves alertness and energy through acting as a dopamine D(1) agonist (R).
2. Increases Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), similar to Lion’s mane, which promotes the growth, as well as the maintenance, proliferation, and survival of nerve cells (neurons), thereby enhancing cognitive function (R).
3. Increases wakefulness and arousal through acting as a mild GABA-A antagonist, thereby fighting fatigue (R). Pharmacological blockade of GABAA receptors can also induce burst firing of DA neurons
4. An Amazonian/Brazilian plant, known traditionally as a nerve tonic, and aphrodisiac (R).
5. Stimulates the central nervous system through Beta-Adrenergic agonism complementing the above (R).
6. Stimulates memory, mood and focus through increasing acetylcholine activity in the brain (R).
7. Restores memory in mice with brain damage (R)
8. Increases sex-drive via acting on the brain, through acetylcholine and dopamine release (R)
9. Studies have shown that activation of the D1 receptor can inhibit eating in mice (R).

D-Ribose research

Key Benefits:

1. D-ribose could potentially aid in maintaining or potentially lowering extra-cellular adenosine concentrations, aid in the flux of intracellular calcium, aid in intracellular energy production, and potentially lessen the perceived "crash" state felt by many (R).
2. D-ribose with caffeine may be the substrate to aid in the potential intracellular energy demand, aid in lessening the perceived unpleasant side effects of caffeine, and still preserving the desired benefits of this stimulant consumed by all of us daily (R).
3. Directly increases energy production in all cells of the body, through enhancing mitochondrial function (R).
4. Improves energy regeneration quickly to muscles, allowing for greater physical performance (R).
5. Reduces the rate of perceived exertion during physically demanding activities (R).
6. D-ribose demonstrates performance, perceptual, and serum benefits in fitness adult subjects undergoing high intensity exercise. The stress of high intensity exercise has the potential to be benefited with supplementation of D-ribose around these exercise sessions (R).

Uridine Monophosphate research

Key Benefits:

1. Increases sensitivity and reduces tolerance to caffeine and other stimulants, thereby allowing the person the feel the stimulating effects to a stronger degree (R).
2. Powerfully motivating and energising, reducing procrastination and enhances mental clarity through increasing dopamine receptor density (R).
3. Increases memory and alertness through increasing phospholipids in the brain, thereby maintaining optimal cognitive function with age (R).
4. Increases dopamine release directly, leading to mental clarity, motivation and drive (R).
5. Strengthen memory consolidation and retrieval of memories through increasing neurite outgrowth and NGF (R).
6. Dietary uridine enhances the improvement in learning and memory produced by administering DHA (R).
7. Uridine administration for seven days to healthy volunteers significantly increased brain PME levels - phosphocholine (PCho) and phosphoethanolamine (PEtn) - thereby supporting memory and learning (R).
8. Oral administration of uridine to experimental animals increases the levels of phosphatides and synaptic proteins in the brain and per brain cell as well as the numbers of dendritic spines on hippocampal neurons (R).
